The D Casino & Hotel In Las Vegas Reopened To Packed Casino Floors

They opened at midnight Thursday.

Businesses have started welcoming guests back to their properties early Thursday morning, and one casino had a huge turnout. The D Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas opened its doors on June 4 to a full casino floor. Many of the visitors queued up to enter the hotels that began at midnight.

According to the Chicago Tribune, The D. Hotel "had several dozen people waiting in line for the doors to open shortly after midnight."

"After guests had their temperatures checked at the door, the casino was quickly crowded with revelers and gamblers, while the dealers wore face masks or shields."

The Tribune also noted that Caesars and MGM properties are gauging further openings on how many people show up to the initial relaunch of a few hotels.

Guests who visited the D hotel were required to have their temperature taken before entering the property.

Poker, Blackjack, Roulette tables, and bars are open for business on the gaming floor.

Casinos have added safety measures since the COVID-19 shutdown caused them to close their doors temporarily in March.

Most casino floors are functioning at half capacity, while chairs are being removed between machines to enable proper social distancing, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board's gaming operation.

Tables are now limited to three to six players depending on the game, and surfaces are required to be sanitized regularly.

A photo from a Times article shows an employee wearing a mask at a blackjack table and is another example of the new regulations within the casino.

The D Hotel posted a video on their Twitter advertising the reopening of the Long Bar, with masked bartenders flipping and pouring drinks.

Almost 50 hotels and properties around the city have opened their doors to guests as of Thursday morning, all with new safety measures in place.

Many of their websites currently feature offers and discounted rates for visitors to choose from.
