LeBron James Is Calling Out An NFL Team For Its Tweet Following The Derek Chauvin Verdict
The Las Vegas Raiders are receiving backlash from fans and pro athletes, including NBA star Lebron James, for a tweet made following the verdict of the Derek Chauvin trial.
The tweet, which reads "I Can Breathe," references George Floyd's final words, "I can't breathe," which he said more than 20 times while Chauvin pressed his knee on his neck.

Despite being asked by many to take it down, team owner Mark Davis told ESPN he does not plan on deleting it.
"Today was a day where I can breathe, and we can all breathe again because justice was served," he said. "But we have a lot of work to do still on social justice and police brutality."
Davis also says he was inspired to make the tweet by Floyd's brother, Philonise, who told reporters "Today, we are able to breathe again" shortly after the verdict was read.
Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis Police Officer accused of murdering George Floyd in 2020, was found guilty of unintentional second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter.
