There are many excellent paths to explore in the area, but this one leads you to a cute surprise that is worth the trip.

While that is the official name for it, frequent visitors call it Rubber Ducky Trail, thanks to the cool creation that can be found on it.

As you bike or hike down the 1.8-mile path, you will eventually come across a Joshua tree filled with brightly colored rubber ducks.

You can reach this surreal spot by starting at Late Night Trailhead.

It's a great route for mountain biking or just hiking, and ideal to try in colder weather or early in the morning before it gets too hot.

Sticking to the Old Spanish side will lead you to this colorful display of birds.

Signs along the path will lead you to the tree itself, where you can snap some epic photos.

While there is no information on the official site as to where the ducks came from, rumors abound that they were put there after a mountain biker dived.

A large branch once hung over the path, and the plastic toys were said to be put there to remind people to "duck."

Just make sure to leave the others where you found them so others can enjoy it too!
