It's almost that time again for Fall classes to begin for yet another semester at the University of Texas at Austin. As an alumni of the fine institution, I can admit that taking 5 classes a semester can get pretty overwhelming. Everyone deserves to take a few "easy A" classes every school year, so listed below are some options you should consider when finalizing your classes for this fall. Good luck, Longhorns, the eyes of Texas are upon you.

ADV 303 ADVERTISING & POPULAR CULTURE

Any media related advertising course is almost always going to be fun and easy since most of us are already familiar with the ways of pop culture and social media. The curriculum for a media/pop culture advertising class usually comes naturally to those who are aware and interested in the ads we see every day in our typical TV shows and social media.

ANT 302 CULTURAL ANTHROPOLOGY

Cultural anthropology classes deal a lot with how people interact with one another, from our language to our inherited social behaviors. They're always super interesting, making them easy to ace all the tests. But by God, do not mistake this with biological anthropology—now that stuff is challenging.

PSY 301 INTRODUCTION TO PSYCHOLOGY

Another class all about human behaviors and why we do what we do. These classes are always interesting and will leave you constantly wanting to learn more! They're also typically those giant auditorium classes, which has its benefits for an "easy A" course.

J 336F SOCIAL MEDIA JOURNALISM-WB

If there is one class that tops off this entire "easy A" list, it is this one. This web-based class is so much fun and definitely a HUGE breather from your other classes. One of the class's big projects is having to make a very long Snapchat story.

CMS 306M PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS

As a CMS grad, I can vouch that basically any communications class is gonna be easy and interesting. And they're the most beneficial for working in a company PLUS managing your own personal relationships outside of work or school.

INF 327E COMICS/GRAPHIC NOVELS/MANGA-WB

Informational studies are always fun to take and cover a wide variety of topics. This web-based course, in particular, involves reading exciting and moving graphic novels and taking a weekly, easy quiz over them. Your final project is creating your own comic!

E 314J 1-LITERATURE AND FILM

If you like reading, this one is for you. The tests are mostly based on the stories of fun classics like Gullivers Travels and Weight. Your homework is just that you read books and enjoy them!

INTERNSHIP COURSE-WB

A web-based internship course is the best class you can take. You will get a full 3 hours of college credit with no studying required—just go to work! UT will accept almost any internship you take as long as it is relevant to your field. No tests or essays, just you making that sweet paycheck and getting course credit for it.

ADV 328. PSYCHOLOGY OF VIDEO GAME ADVERTISING

If you like any type of games, from phone apps to console to desktop, you will find joy in this class. You learn so much about the psychology behind the consumers of virtual games but you have tons of fun while doing it. Your final project is creating and designing your own video game. How cool!

COM 316 PHOTOGRAPHIC COMMUNICATION

This course is pretty basic and is open to hundreds of curious students who want to learn the beginnings of photographic techniques and common media trends. Fun and simple. Note: students must provide their own camera!

AST 301 INTRODUCTION TO ASTRONOMY

This course is simple and open to anyone interested in dipping their toes into astronomy to learn about the stars above them. There's something about the galaxies that makes this class truly a stress reliever and it's fun to take with your friends.

ART 352D DRAWING FOR NONMAJORS

Non-major art classes can range from drawing to painting to photography. All of them are "easy A" classes in that they don't take a lot of studying textbooks or memorizing math equations, but they do take some artistic effort. If you love spending time relaxing while creating art, this will definitely be a grade booster for you.

MUS 307 2-HISTORY OF ROCK MUSIC

Learn about the interesting history of different genres of music without having to pack your own guitar. Plus you'll get your Cultural Diversity flag taken care of.
