Get ready for some serious thrills and gorgeous fall views at this spot. This mountain coaster is a road trip away from Toronto and it takes you speeding through a colourful autumn wonderland.

Holiday Valley Ski Resort, located in Ellicottville, New York State, is a magical spot for a fall day trip or weekend getaway. The destination is located just across the border from Ontario, about 2 hours and 40 minutes from Toronto.

The resort is home to the Sky Flyer Mountain Coaster which takes you on an epic adventure through autumn scenery.

The ride is 4,805 feet long and features "five curves of varying length, 12 waves, one jump, plus a large circle / spiral," according to the website.

On the way up to the top of the mountain, you'll travel alongside the Spruce Lake scenic chairlift where you can enjoy a picturesque fall view of the Tannenbaum slope.

The downward track is full of thrills and takes you speeding into a colourful woodland filled with red and gold leaves.

Holiday Valley also offers fall Scenic Chairlift Rides on weekends until the end of October. The experience is another incredible way to take in the autumn colours.

During your visit, you can grab a meal at Edna’s at the Tamarack Club which boasts gorgeous views.

The town of Ellicottville is a magical destination to explore during the fall. With a quaint downtown, charming shops and delicious eateries, you can spend a day or more exploring the area.
