NASA's Mars Helicopter Completed Its Longest & Fastest Flight (VIDEO)

Mars continues to be conquered as NASA's tiny helicopter, dubbed Ingenuity, made history yet again after completing its longest and fastest flight to date.
Ingenuity took off early Sunday morning, rising to an altitude of 16 ft. and then soaring 164 ft., which is a little over half the length of a football field, at a maximum speed of 6.6 ft. per second before returning to its original launch zone and safely landing.

NASA is now analyzing data in order to plan for future Ingenuity flights and develop new aircraft that could take to the skies of the Red Planet during future drone or even human missions.
"Today's flight was what we planned for, and yet it was nothing short of amazing," NASA's Dave Lavery said in a release. "With this flight, we are demonstrating critical capabilities that will enable the addition of an aerial dimension to future Mars missions."
The space organization now says they are planning for a fourth flight but an official date has not yet been set, but it will be coming "in a few days' time."
