Ontario Is Under A Severe Thunderstorm Watch & Temperatures Just Keep Climbing
It feels like 39 C in Toronto. 🥵
There’s some seriously wild weather across Ontario right now. Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for most of the province, including Ottawa and Gatineau.
If that wasn’t enough, several regions are also under a heat warning, with humidex in Toronto making conditions feel as hot as 39 C.
Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms
Heat warnings are in place across Toronto, Niagara, Hamilton and Peel, and residents are urged to prepare for a hot and humid night ahead. Environment Canada advises drinking plenty of water and staying in a cool place wherever possible.
“Severe thunderstorms” are also expected to move from west to east through the province, bringing heavy rain and wind through the late afternoon and into the evening.
Locals are asked to take cover immediately if dangerous weather is nearby.
