You could do health assessments on international travellers.
Senior Writer

Now hiring! Nursing jobs in Canada with the government are up for grabs and the pay over $80,000. You can apply online and there are positions available all over the country.

Canada's COVID-19 Nurse Inventory is accepting applications once again to help with the pandemic efforts.

Anybody who lives in Canada, as well as Canadian citizens living abroad, can apply.

With this job, you'd be working for the Public Health Agency of Canada at various locations across the country. That includes ports of entry like border crossings.

The salary ranges from $80,304 all the way to $96,659.

Your duties would include doing health assessments on international travellers and figuring out the risk to public health, supporting the application of the Quarantine Act, and working with colleagues to support effective cast management.

The jobs available could be casual and only for a specific period of time.

However, preference will be given to people who can commit to working full time on a rotational basis.

There are some conditions of employment to know about, including a valid registration as a registered nurse, a driver's license, and the ability to travel to one or more ports of entry depending on the position.

If this is something you'd be interested in doing, the Public Health Agency of Canada is accepting applications online.

To apply you have to submit your resume.

If you want to be considered for a position, you have to explain how you meet certain qualifications.

These include experience in public health, community health, travel-related nursing, or infectious disease.

You must also have experience with doing health assessments.

For some of the jobs, you need to have a degree from a post-secondary institution with a specialization related to nursing.

At the beginning of July, health officials were placed at Canada-U.S. border crossings, including airports, to screen people for COVID-19.

The Public Health Agency of Canada has put workers at 36 crossings in B.C., Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

There are a lot of unique jobs available in Canada that aren't related to COVID-19, like working as a foreign language communications analysts with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service or as a hacker for a company that has a 72-hour interview process.
