Reynolds liked Watson's tweet and the mayor took notice.

He replied to his own tweet just to thank Reynolds "for liking my socks!"

The Canadian actor later responded saying "I need to up my sock game."*

In his tweet, Watson also shared his gratitude for everything the star has done when it comes to helping good causes during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Reynolds has donated money to organizations in Ottawa like a food bank and distress centre along with other causes in Canada.

This isn't the first time that Reynolds and Watson have shown each other love.

Reynolds followed the mayor on Twitter in April 2020, then a month later he revealed that he still considers Ottawa home and even gave Watson a sweet shout out.
