Super Bowl 2025 had it all — nail-biting moments, show-stopping entertainment, sporting triumphs, and, of course, a lineup of jaw-droppingly expensive commercials.
Whether you were cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs, the Philadelphia Eagles, or just tuning in for Kendrick Lamar's halftime show, chances are you stuck around for the ads. Because for a lot of people, the real entertainment isn't just on the field — it's in the commercial breaks.
Every year, brands pull out all the stops for their Super Bowl ads, delivering a mix of hilarious, heartwarming, and downright bizarre moments featuring A-list celebrities, nostalgic throwbacks, and unexpected plot twists.
Sadly, though, if you were watching from Canada, chances are you missed most of them.
Since 2019, a controversial broadcasting rule has blocked American Super Bowl commercials from airing on Canadian TV, replacing them with Canadian ads instead.
So, if you didn't get to see them live, don't worry, we've rounded up 12 of the best (and worst) Super Bowl LIX commercials that had everyone talking.
From laugh-out-loud moments to slots that totally flopped, here's a closer look at what you missed.
The best...
Hellmann's
Hellmann's brought some serious rom-com nostalgia to Super Bowl LIX with a When Harry Met Sally throwback featuring Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal.
It's been 36 years since they first played Harry and Sally, and in the 60-second ad, they head back to the iconic Katz's Deli in NYC. Crystal jokes, "I can't believe they let us back in this place," while Ryan shrugs, "Why? Nobody remembers that."
But once she realizes she forgot the Hellmann's mayo on her sandwich — and then adds it — she lets out some very familiar sounds of pure food bliss. It's a hilarious, nostalgic nod to one of the most legendary rom-com scenes ever.
Stella Artois
In Stella Artois' 2025 Super Bowl ad, soccer icon David Beckham's on-screen parents drop a bombshell: he has a long-lost twin brother in the United States, also named David.
Intrigued, Beckham travels to meet "other David," A.K.A. Matt Damon. The two bond over Stella and buffalo wings, with a well-timed joke about being Ben Affleck-levels of famous to boot.
It's hard not to like this one.
Instacart
Instacart's first-ever Super Bowl ad, "We're Here," is a 30-second nostalgia trip featuring a whole squad of iconic brand mascots.
The commercial kicks off with Chester Cheetah rallying the HEINZ Wiener Dogs, who then team up with the Green Giant, Mr. Clean, the Pillsbury Doughboy, the Kool-Aid Man, the Energizer Bunny, and the Old Spice Guy.
Together, they race through town to deliver one family's Instacart order. Cute, right?
Dunkin'
Dunkin's 2025 Super Bowl ad, "DunKings 2: The Bean Method," brings back Ben and Casey Affleck, this time with Succession star Jeremy Strong.
The Affleck brothers attempt to revive their DunKings crew, enlisting Strong, who takes his role very seriously by fully immersing himself in coffee grounds to go "all in" for Dunkin'.
If you're in it for the celeb-spotting, this one's all you.
Doritos
Doritos brought back its Crash the Super Bowl contest for 2025, letting fans take the creative reins once again.
The winning ad, "Abduction," keeps it simple and fun: an unsuspecting guy snacking on Doritos suddenly finds his chips caught in a UFO's beam. A tug-of-war ensues, but in the end, they settle things the only way that makes sense: sharing.
This one has classic Super Bowl charm and is packed with the nostalgic energy of commercials from years gone by.
Every Super Bowl needs a tear-jerker, and this year's came courtesy of Google Pixel.
The ad, "Dream Job," tugs at the heartstrings by showing a dad prepping for a job interview with some help from Gemini Live on his Pixel 9.
As he practices, he reflects on how parenting has equipped him with some really valuable skills. Sniff.
Little Caesars Pizza
Little Caesars' 30-second 2025 Super Bowl ad, titled "Whoa!", features Schitt's Creek icon Eugene Levy enjoying the brand's Crazy Puffs.
Upon taking a bite, his famous eyebrows dramatically fly off his face, causing a series of unfortunate events around town.
The commercial includes a cameo from Levy's IRL daughter, Sarah, who nonchalantly explains the eyebrow escapade as a typical reaction to her dad eating Crazy Puffs.

The worst...
Mountain Dew
Described by viewers on YouTube as "the most cursed Super Bowl ad I've ever watched" and "definite nightmare fuel," it's fair to say the 2025 Super Bowl ad from Mountain Dew had mixed reactions.
During the one-minute-ish ad, Becky G opens a Baja Blast, transporting her to a surreal beach where Seal, who is... a seal, performs a parody of his hit song, "Kiss from a Rose," renamed "Kiss from a Lime."
You can make your own mind up.
Coffee mate
Coffee mate made its Super Bowl debut in 2025 with an unforgettable (sadly) ad promoting their new cold foam creamer.
The commercial features a man taking a sip of his iced coffee, only for his tongue to come to life, literally. The CGI tongue dances and sings “Gimme Cold Foam" in a voice provided by Shania Twain.
Unfortunately, not even Shania could save this one.
On YouTube, somebody commented, "I miss the person I was before I watched this." And honestly? Same.
Carl's Jr.
Perfect for anyone who's stuck in 2001 (and not in a good way), this 2025 Super Bowl ad from Carl's Jr is everything bikinis and burgers.
TikTok superstar Alix Earle, dressed in a red bikini, navigates the aftermath of a lively tailgate party, promoting the chain's new "Hangover Burger" as the perfect remedy for post-game festivities.
If you say so, Carl's Jr.
Tubi
There's a lot going on in Tubi's 2025 Super Bowl commercial, and almost none of it is good.
Titled "Cowboy Head," the ad introduces viewers to a man born with a head shaped like a cowboy hat, which is covered in what appears to be skin. There are a few other guys with cursed heads, too, and they're surprisingly mean to Cowboy Head, all things considered.
Booking.com
Booking.com's Super Bowl commercial brings the Muppets together in this surprisingly dull ad about getting the perfect vacation for everyone.
You know what? The Muppets deserve better than this.
