After teasing multiple times, The Weeknd announced that he is officially performing the 55th Super Bowl halftime is set.

The pop artist has had an insane year, after dropping his latest album "After Hours," which features the incredibly popular "Blinding Lights," which has been listened to over 1.6 billion times on Spotify.

Now he'll be bringing his music to one of the biggest stages in the world, the Pepsi Super Bowl Half Time Show.

The star took to Twitter Wednesday night to start teasing the announcement, making fans wait over 14 hours to hear the good news.

The Weeknd will follow in the shoes of musicians such as Paul McCartney, Beyonce, and Bruno Mars as legendary Super Bowl performers.

It is not yet known if another artist will be joining him on stage, but judging by past shows, you can bet on another artist popping up on stage.

The game will be held in Tampa, Florida, and can be watched through your cable provider on CBS, Febuary 7, 2021.
