Not celebrating with family and friends does have its benefits. With Thanksgiving in Canada just around the corner, Dr. Theresa Tam revealed the biggest pro of having a virtual dinner.

With COVID-19 cases spiking in many parts of the country, Canadians are being advised to scale back on their holiday celebrations.

Dr. Tam tweeted that we can still be grateful and appreciative of what we have even though these are challenging times.

Even host virtually if you want all the leftover pie.

While you might not be able to see all of your family and friends, there is a very big pro to making Thanksgiving dinner virtual.

"Consider keeping celebrations to your household or even host virtually if you want all the leftover pie," Dr. Tam said.

That's pretty solid advice!

Who doesn't love lots of leftovers especially when it's pie?

This isn't the first time that Dr. Tam has shared her thoughts on Thanksgiving.

Earlier she had said that Canadians should consider buying a smaller turkey and keeping gatherings small this year.
