Summer isn’t complete without with a refreshing weekend spent in nature, whether you’re pitching a tent or cozying up in a cabin. But what happens when your picturesque Florida camping trip takes a murderous turn? You can find out by working to solve a mysterious series of murders at this 80s slasher-themed weekend-long game hosted by Wordier Than Thou in St. Petersburg.

The setting is Camp Wordier, where campers and counselors are suddenly being picked off by an unknown killer. You and the surviving campers will have to try to figure out who the culprit is before it’s too late.

Campers will be provided a character to portray at this 1980s slasher-inspired murder mystery game, as you work together to decipher clues and name the killer among your group.

Originally slated for this September, the thrilling weekend camping trip has been pushed back to March 13 and 14, 2021. All tickets purchased for the September dates will be honored in March, and refunded if the new date no longer works for you.*

The weekend-long game will be held at St. Petersburg / Madeira Beach KOA Holiday.

At $70 per person, the ticket price includes the murder mystery game, group hikes, arts and crafts, and other fun camping shenanigans, plus lunch and dinner on Saturday, and a Sunday breakfast. You’ll be in charge of securing your own accommodations at the campground, though.

This thrilling camping trip is hosted by Wordier Than Thou, a local Florida writers’ group who holds monthly open mic nights for creative and fictional writers.

Put a spooky twist on your camping weekend and put your sleuthing skills to the test to identify the murderer before they strike again!

Perfect for nature lovers and murder mystery fanatics both, this weekend event is a must for this September.
