Nestled between Lake Ontario and North Bay, North Beach Provincial Park features not one but two beaches in a dreamy island-like setting.
One one side of the beachy strip, you’ll find 1,200-metres of sandy shores facing the lake.
On the opposite side, you’ll see another 800-metre section of beautiful golden warmth along the bay.
No matter which side you choose to lounge on, you can rest assured knowing you’ll be able to dip a toe into crystal clear waters.
Basically, this is the closest thing we’ll get to a tropical vacation in Ontario.
Because of it’s proximity to the popular beaches of Sandbanks Provincial Park, North Beach doesn’t draw out massive crowds, meaning you can enjoy a little bit of privacy.
So go ahead, swim like no ones watching.
At the time of writing there are some swimming restrictions in place, so be sure to check the park’s website before heading out.
If you’re feeling snacky while you’re here, there is an adorable canteen on the park's main road called The Counter where you can snag fast food delights and drinks.
However, at the time of writing, The Counter is not yet opened for the season.
Luckily, there are plenty of picnic tables and shady spots where you can have a feast of your own. So be sure to pack some snacks for your visit.
The standard Ontario Provincial Park fees will apply, meaning you’ll have to pay a $2 day-use fee if you’re walking in or a $10.84 day-use fee if you’re coming in a car.
Not a bad price to pay to enjoy Ontario’s little slice of paradise, though, eh?
