If your adventure bucket list is looking a little sparse, we’ve got just the thing. This Ontario small town is filled with the exact kind of charm you’d expect to see in the movies and it’s only two hours from Toronto. So if you want to feel like a character from The Notebook this summer, then you need to visit Port Rowan ASAP.

Because if you’re a bird, we’re a bird.

With whimsical boathouses floating in the local marina, old-fashioned shops lining the streets, and plenty of sandy shores to sink your toes into, Port Rowan has a little something for everyone.

The town is located along Lake Erie and is home to Long Point Provincial Park. So you know the waterside views are top-notch.

If you love thrifting and antique shopping then you need to check out Franni’s Attic when you visit.

The quaint shop features furniture, clothes, and various trinkets that will totally steal your heart.

And if all that shopping wears you out, you can always hit refresh at Twins Ice Cream Parlour.

The yellow and white building looks like the perfect place to recreate those Allie and Noah ice cream scenes.

Another great spot to check out in town is The Boathouse Restaurant.

They serve delicious fish n' chips, among other things, and have one of the sweetest patios in town.

It’s right on the water so you can soak in views of the nearby marina and floating boathouses while you eat.

Talk about nautical dreams come true.

A visit to the Old Cut Lighthouse or the Long Point Lighthouse will really take the movie set vibes to another level.

And a day spent lounging on the sandy shore inside Long Point Provincial Park is like a tropical beach vacation without the airfare.

So if you want to feel like the star of your own rom-com this summer, then give Port Rowan a try.

It’s one of many small towns in the province that are as pretty as a postcard.
