Europe here we come... Well, almost. We’re lucky enough to have a long list of Ontario small towns that look like Europe right in our backyard. But one town that really stands out is Perth. With stunning stone buildings and magical nature parks, it doesn’t get much prettier than this place.
Pack those passports away and get ready for a dreamy day trip with your BFF!
Located roughly four hours from Toronto and just over one hour from Ottawa, this pretty little town is full of charm. And you won’t need to board a plane to get there, either.
Cute stone buildings, wandering vines, waterfront views, and old-school lampposts give the downtown core a Paris vibe that we adore.
If you want to feel like you’re walking through a storybook while you’re here, then you need to take a stroll through Stewart Park.
Calm waters, a gorgeous gazebo, and a tiny footbridge will have you wanting to lounge under the shade trees all day long.
If you start to get hungry, there's a wide variety of stunning restaurants to choose from.
Fiddleheads Bar and Grill and Mex & Co are two restaurants you won’t want to miss on your Perth trip.
With stunning patios that offer views for days, you’ll have as much fun soaking in the scenery as you will devouring your meal.
At Mex & Co you’ll be right next to the water, and Fiddleheads has an indoor atrium that’s decked out with plant-covered stone walls and a rushing water fountain that is sure to steal your heart.
So if you’ve been daydreaming about skipping around the streets of France, then Perth is your perfect (and affordable) alternative.
And once you’ve made your way through this beautiful town, be sure to check out all of the other small towns in Ontario that are basically a slice of Europe.
