A new dining experience is coming to Toronto and if you are a fan of musicals or you've always hoped that everyone around you would spontaneously break into song, this event is for you.

The Broadway Diner is an immersive dining experience where you'll indulge in an American diner-style meal while surrounded by live singing and dancing in Toronto.

If you've ever been to New York City, you might've stumbled across Ellen's Stardust Diner, where the restaurant is filled with singing servers, making the Broadway experience a reality. That's basically what you can expect for one weekend only in Toronto.

"Residents and visitors alike can immerse themselves in an extraordinary dining experience that combines captivating performances, delectable diner classics, and an unforgettable atmosphere," organizers write in a press release.

The Broadway Diner will take place at MADO on 144 Yonge Street for one weekend only. Customers can enjoy the immersive experience from December 9 to 10.

"Prepare to be wowed as our star-studded lineup of talented waitstaff showcases their exceptional skills while you indulge in our mouthwatering menu offerings and soak in the lively ambience," the press release adds.

You can expect to step into a throwback American diner filled with "fascinating trinkets, mesmerizing neon signs, and Instagram-worthy backdrops."

Diners can indulge in burgers, loaded fries, and thick freak shakes with alcoholic and non-alcoholic variations. They also have a cocktail menu filled with "jazzed-up versions of cocktail classics."

The diner can cater to allergies as well as provide vegetarian and vegan alternatives.

The 90-minute event includes tunes from some of your favourite musicals such as Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Hamilton, Rent, The Lion King, Grease, Mamma Mia!, Hairspray and so much more.

Tickets cost $62 after taxes, including the entrance and meal fees.
