Casa Loma Is Turning Into A 'Fairy Tale Castle' With Twisting Tunnels & A Dragon's Lair

You'll be transported back in time.

Casa Loma.

Casa Loma in Toronto, Ontario.

Lead Writer, Travel

You'll want to have your sword at the ready when visiting this Toronto event which is opening over the March Break. One of the city's iconic landmarks is getting a medieval makeover and you'll be transported back in time to "an era of knights and maidens, fairies, otherworldly creatures and more."

Featuring interactive live performances, costumed characters, music concerts, daring adventures and more, the event will immerse you in a fantastical realm of magic, folklore and more and turn Casa Loma into a "fairy tale castle."

Imagine Dragons at Casa Loma is returning for another year from March 9 to 17, 2024.

According to a press release, the immersive theatrical experience offers themed programming such as A Tale of Two Brothers – an "interactive and educational play demonstrating medieval sword action in the castle's Conservatory" as well as medieval music concerts, an aerialist and more.

"There is so much to do and see at Casa Loma during March Break," Catriona Delaney, General Manager, Tourism and Operations at Casa Loma said in a press release.

"Our show Imagine Dragons explores medieval themes in an authentic gothic castle, from sword fighting displays, arts and crafts and education, to live musical performances and more, there is something for everyone. Be warned, all roads lead to the Dragon's Den."

One of the highlights of the experience is travelling through the 800-foot underground tunnels to enter The Stables, where you can "meet the fire-breathing beast itself as he rises to defend his throne, in the Dragon's Den."

Tickets are available on Casa Loma's website.
