If you want to own an island getaway without breaking the bank, you're in luck. This cheap Ontario cottage for sale will give you just that, at a price point that even millennials could afford. The best part is that it's only an hour outside of Toronto.

54 Fox Island Rd. is the largest lot on Fox Island, a tiny piece of land just a boat ride away from the town of Georgina.

The charming rustic property is modest, but for $75,000, it's easily one of the most affordable cottages you'll find in Ontario. The home even has its own staircase to the water.

Other amenities include a deck that overlooks the lake, and a tool shed to store all your cottage gear. Just imagine the view when you kick back with a beer on your private waterfront lot.

The listing agent for the property, Steven Sarasin of Royal LePage Ignite Realty, tells Narcity that the land is owned by the Chippewa tribe, who lease out the land on 50-year contracts.

Also, with it being on an island, the cottage is only accessible by boat.

Thankfully, you won’t need to invest in your own watercraft.

Sarasin explained to Narcity that there are plenty of water taxis in the area that can transport you to and from the mainland.

Sarasin also noted that there's a growing demand for isolated cottages since the start of the pandemic.

He said that, in recent months, he has seen a spike in demand for his island listings. He claims that he's received a significant number of inquiries for these isolated properties compared to previous years.

It may not be a $7 million Muskoka cottage with everything you could dream of, but it's a little piece of paradise nonetheless. And a price tag like this one is simply unbeatable.
