Craving a little getaway with your BFFs? You may want to plan a trip to his city near Toronto. With tons of things to do, it's an idyllic spot for staycation and was recently named among the best places in North America for a girl's trip.

Online casino Betway released a list of North America's best girl's trip cities on February 2, 2024. The roundup features 41 destinations, 10 of which are in Ontario.

The study looked at factors such as average hotel price, average taxi fare, spa listings, club listings and McMeal price at McDonald's and gave each city a score based on the results.

St. Catharines, a city located about an hour and a half from Toronto, was one of the top Ontario destinations included in the roundup.

The destination is known as the "Garden City" as it is home to many parks, gardens and trails.

According to the study, St. Catharines has 100 spa listings, 23 club listings and an average hotel price of $148, making it a fun spot to hang out with your favourite ladies.

You can visit one of the many wineries such as 13th Street Winery or Henry of Pelham Family Estate Winery, explore the Farmers Market, wander along the pier, chill at Lakeside Park Beach and more.

There are over 70 restaurants in downtown St. Catharines and you can indulge in "Instagram-worthy doughnuts or the trendiest tacos," according to the city's website.

The only Ontario city to beat St. Catharines in the roundup was Toronto, which isn't surprising given its size.

Other cities on the list include Ottawa, Windsor and Kingston.
