Looking to buy a home? You might want to search for properties in this enchanting Ontario small town. The area boasts charming streets and scenic surroundings and was recently named one of the most affordable spots to purchase a house in the province.

Zolo recently released a roundup of the 10 most affordable Ontario cities to buy a home and this beautiful community came in at number 7 on the list.

Dubbed the "prettiest town in Canada," the area is brimming with small town charm, local shops, drool-worthy restaurants and more.

Here's what to know about this quaint destination.

Paris, Ontario is the place to be if you're looking for affordable real estate, according to Zolo.

As of March 2024, the town has an average home price of $694,185, which is far below the province's $900,161 average.

The median salary in Paris is $112,900, making the home price-to-income ratio 9.36. The town has an unemployment rate of 3.8 %.

Despite being a small town, Paris is home to nearly 100 business and is situated on the banks of the Grand River, meaning residents have access to both retail and nature.

According to the website, it's a "place where a short stroll, a single bite, or a quiet moment of reflection can magically transport you through space and in time."

Paris wasn't the only small town to make the list. Villages such as Carleton Place, Ingersoll and Arnprior were also named among the most affordable spots for home buyers in Ontario.
