This Tiny Ontario City Keeps Getting Ranked As The Best Place To Live For So Many Reasons

Don't sleep on small-town Ontario!

Contributor

A small city in Southwestern Ontario is making a name for itself as one of the best places to live in not just the whole province, but in all of Canada.

St. Thomas, Ontario keeps making it to the top of the list in a variety of rankings, the most recent being the Maclean's 2021 report of Canada's best communities, where the city was ranked best in Ontario and third overall.

Maclean's report evaluates nine factors, including affordability, weather, crime, taxes, and community. Maclean's also named St. Thomas one of Canada's best places to live and work remotely.

But this isn't the first or even the second time St. Thomas has been highlighted as an ideal place to live. In February, Zoocasa ranked the city as the number one region in Canada to buy a house under the national average price.

In 2018, St. Thomas was also named one of the most competitive housing markets in Canada, and, in 2017, one of Canada's coolest downtown areas.

All signs point to St. Thomas as being one of Ontario's up-and-coming communities to live in, so if you're thinking of moving somewhere new, you may want to consider what it has to offer.
