If you've always wanted to pursue a career in the travel industry, you'll want to get your resume ready — Canada's largest and busiest airport will soon be hiring for tons of positions.

Toronto Pearson Airport has announced that it will be having a massive job fair this month with a wide variety of roles available.

If spending your days at a bustling major airport sounds like the ideal job, here's what you need to know about the job fair and what you'll need to attend.

The job fair is taking place at the Toronto Congress Centre on February 22, 2024. According to the airport, a "variety of employers" will be looking to hire qualified candidates at the Toronto Pearson Job Fair.

Among them is the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA), which operates Toronto Pearson Airport. The GTAA is made up of several departments, including Airport Development and Technical Services, Airport Operations, which oversees the 24/7 operations at the airport, Finance and Commercial and Information Technology.

Working for the GTAA comes with benefits like a pension plan with employee and matching company contributions, health care coverage, a tuition assistance program, and an employee discount program that allows staff to benefit from discounts on products or services such as vacation packages and hotels.

A spokesperson at Toronto Pearson Airport tells Narcity that along with the GTAA, there will also be job opportunities with Air Canada, Westjet, Porter Airlines, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines, among many others, at the job fair.

"There are a wide variety of roles available, including ground handlers and ground transportation to security and engineering," the spokesperson says.

To give you an idea of just how massive the job fair is, Toronto Pearson's last job fair, which was held in October, resulted in about 450 people being offered employment, according to the airport spokesperson.

If you want to attend the job fair, you'll have to register, which can be done on the job fair's event page. All applicants are required to have resumes and valid IDs.

If you can’t make it to the job fair, you can always keep an eye on the airport's career page for job opportunities.
