Calling all drivers! The City of Toronto has announced that it will be shifting things around and moving its speed cameras to other areas around town.

The City said in a press release on Friday that its "50 Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) devices are currently rotating to the next round of locations."

The rotations happen "to help reduce speeding at more areas with safety concerns, encourage a wide-ranging deterrent effect and raise public awareness about the need to slow down and obey posted speed limits," the City said.

The initiative started in July 2020, and this will be the fifth round of new locations since then. In January, February and March, the ASE devices issued 21,681, 25,666, and 27,290 tickets, respectively.

It's important to keep in mind that "the total payable fine amount includes a set fine, which is determined by Schedule D under the Provincial Offences Act, a victim fine surcharge and applicable court costs." However, ASE tickets don't incur any demerit points, nor do they affect a person's driving record, the City said.

The 50 new ASE device locations are:

1. Martin Grove Road north of Rampart Road (Etobicoke North)
2. Redgrave Drive west of Martin Grove Road (Etobicoke North)
