What if we told you that the two highest-paid actors in Hollywood were actually fellow Canadians?

Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson are in fact the two actors that raked in the most dough in the film industry in 2020, according to Forbes.

Best of all? They have some serious Canadian roots.

You may know that Reynolds is very much Canadian. Not only because he was born in Vancouver but because of how much he reps the country and has given back to local communities.

However, it may come as a surprise to some that The Rock also has some serious Canadian roots as his father was born and raised in Nova Scotia.

Over $23 million of the nearly $88 million Johnson made in 2020 was thanks to a film collaboration with Reynolds, Red Notice.*

Another big chunk came from his Under Armour line, Project Rock, according to Forbes

Reynolds took home over $20 million each for Six Underground and Red Notice. His income was reported at $71.5 million.
