Jimmy Fallon gave some advice after Olivia Rodrigo appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this week and shared about an incident she experienced at the Canadian border.

The popular singer was in Vancouver this summer and apparently ended her Canadian visit on a low.

Rodrigo recalls leaving Canada and heading for Portland but being stopped by border control in the early morning. "They take me to a room and it's an interrogation room and there's a big cop with like, a gun."

The star says she was asked if she had ever been arrested and after responding no, she was asked if she was sure.

"I'm like gaslighting myself. I'm like 'oh my god maybe I was arrested and I didn't know it," she tells Fallon. The situation then got even more stressful when the officer warned her that she could go to jail for lying to a federal officer.

"I'm freaking out. I'm like 'I'm not going to be allowed into America," she recalled.

Apparently, after sitting through 30 minutes of interrogation and panicking the officer realized that she wasn't actually who they thought she was.

After clarifying her name the officer said that there was a girl who looked just like her, that's her same age, and who has been arrested multiple times. That other person's name though is Olivia Rodriguez.

"Jimmy I was pissed," Rodrigo said, as Fallon laughed in relief.

Fallon jokingly says that the moral of the story is to "stay away from Canada," especially for Olivia Rodriguez.
