Vancouver restaurants receive a lot of recognition for their innovative meals and one spot in the city was just named one of the best restaurants in Canada.

Canada's 100 Best Restaurant List 2024 was released on Monday and a restaurant in Vancouver known for its stunning dishes made the top 10.

The 100 Best list includes restaurants from around the country, and this year several in Vancouver and Victoria were included.

Published on Main, located on Main St., is widely known as one of the best restaurants in Vancouver. It ranked 7 out of 100 on the 2024 list.

The Scandinavian upscale restaurant has an incredible menu filled with innovative dishes created into works of art.

The dinner menu includes dishes like bee pollen milk buns, torched hiramasa, Pacific squid, Dungeness crab, sticky pork cheeks and Fraser Valley duck breast.

According to its website, the restaurant is a contemporary spot that focuses on local and sustainable food from B.C. farmers.

"Some things might be new to you, some things might remind you of a notion from your past, we want to try and tell a story through clean and precise flavours, delicately chosen and presented for your consuming pleasure," the website says.

Published on Main opened in Vancouver in 2019 and it has received many accolades since then.

In 2022, the restaurant took the number one spot on the Canada's 100 Best Restaurant List and it came in third in 2023.

The kitchen is run by executive chef Gus Stieffenhofer-Brandson, who was born and raised in Manitoba.

Before working at Published on Main, the chef worked at restaurants in Winnipeg, Germany and several spots in Vancouver.

Canada's 100 Best Restaurant List is determined by 150 culinary experts from across the country, including chefs, sommeliers, restaurant owners and bartenders.

"The 2024 judging panel marks the largest number of judges the publication has ever used before," a release reads.

Other Vancouver spots to make the 2024 list included Kissa Tanto, St. Lawrence, L'Abattoir, and AnnaLena.
