If you were hoping to travel to a galaxy far, far away, you're going to need to either move back in with your parents or re-mortgage your home.

A ticket window to fly to space with Virgin Galactic has reopened, giving the wealthy few an opportunity for a trip of a lifetime.

The tickets start at $450,000 for a seat and people can purchase either a single seat, package deals or entire flights by registering their interest here. Those who express an interest will get priority access to the seats.

In February, Narcity reported that the average cost of a one-bedroom condo was $1,940 in Vancouver and $1,770 in Toronto. Using those rental figures, it would take you around two decades to even be close to having the spare cash to buy one of these tickets.

Virgin Galactic founder Richard Branson was part of the company's first fully crewed flight in July when they completed a test flight to space successfully.

The next space flight, called Unity 23, is scheduled for late September.
