Canada Is 'Exceeding' Its Goal Of Having Everyone Fully Vaccinated By The End Of September

Being fully vaccinated means being able to do things without masks and distancing!

Senior Writer

If you're wondering, "when will Canada be fully vaccinated?" we've got answers! It's been announced that the country is currently "exceeding" its original goal of having everyone vaccinated by the end of September.

During a press conference on June 29, federal minister Anita Anand said that 77% of eligible Canadians have now recieved at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and there's good progress on second doses as well.

"From the beginning, our government has said that all eligible Canadians will be able to be fully vaccinated by the end of September," she said. "We are not only meeting but also exceeding our initial targets."

Recently, guidelines on what fully vaccinated people can do without masks or distancing were released by the Public Health Agency of Canada.

If you've received the full series of a vaccine at least 14 days earlier, activities like hugs and indoor gatherings are allowed and you're not required to wear a mask or stay far away from others.
