Spas of America has just revealed the Top 100 Spas of 2023 and eight Ontario venues made the list. The spas were chosen based on "unique page views and consumer choices" on the Spas of America website.

In 2023, the spas also had to maintain a Google Review rating of 4.0 or higher in order to be considered. The roundup includes 82 spas from the U.S., 14 from Canada, and five from Mexico.

From a "country castle" to a traditional Finnish experience, here are the Ontario spas that were named among the best in America for 2023.

Scandinave Spa Blue Mountain

Why You Need To Go: Coming in at number eight on the list is Scandinave Sp Blue Mountain. The venue is an "iconic thermal spa destination" and features a range of treatments and experiences.

You'll be immersed in a lush forest with stunning views of the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve Niagara Escarpment. During the winter months, you can enjoy the sparkling snowy surroundings while staying warm with a "steamy soak."

The spa's Thermal Journey includes hot, cold and relaxation circuits with saunas, a Nordic waterfall cold plunge and more. You can also book a massage treatment for some extra pampering.

The four-season venue ranked at number 17 on the list of top spas in America. Set in the picturesque Horseshoe Valley, Vettä offers an outdoor hydrotherapy circuit with cold plunges, saunas, scented steam rooms and relaxation areas.

Inside, you'll find a fine-dining restaurant offering Finnish and Nordic cuisine as well as a grab-and-go coffee bar and a bistro.
