After an intense week of tennis, Bianca Andreescu was forced to drop out of the Miami Open right at the finish line.

The Canadian sports star was in the finals against Australia's Ashleigh Barty when she took a tumble and ended up injuring her ankle.

After getting checked out, Andreescu said she wouldn't be able to keep going, giving Barty, the reigning champion, the win.

In a speech afterwards, Andreescu congratulated her opponent and said it was "definitely not the way I wanted to end the tournament."

This isn't the first time an injury has stopped the 20-year-old. Back in November 2019, she had to tap out of the WTA Finals with a knee injury that, combined with the pandemic, would go on to keep her off the court for over a year.
