Calgary's Bowden Sun Maze Has Almost 500,000 Sunflowers This Summer

Every year we get excited for strolling through fields bursting with colourful blossoms. But did you know there is a nearby farm with nearly half a million of those golden flowers? Calgary's sunflower maze is so breathtaking you might never want to escape.

Bowden Sunmaze is one hour outside of Calgary, and the ultimate spot near the city to see sunflowers. Usually, the farm has 100,000 flowers, but this year things got bigger and better.

They told Narcity that starting this August; we can enjoy close to half a million sunflowers in the 10-acre garden.

Even if you've gone in the past, it was nothing as grand as this. You certainly won't want to miss the supersized floral labyrinth.

While here, you'll have the best time trying to navigate the trails within the 10-acre garden. Why not go with your BFF, and see who can escape first?

New for this year, there will also be giant sunflowers that are bigger than you. You'll undoubtedly need to look up, as they can grow up to 10 feet tall.

The farm will also have a corn maze and a garden where you can pick a bouquet of sunflowers.

With so much to see and do, you should expect to spend the entire afternoon.

You'll be able to visit all the sights from mid-August until mid-September, seven days a week, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

On Thursdays and Fridays, it will remain open longer to allow you to get stunning sunset photos.

But the exact opening date depends on the weather. For updates, you'll need to check their social media.

Tickets will be $10, and a limited number of tickets will be available online.
