This Massive Sunflower Field Near Calgary Is Opening Next Month
Visit a field of sunshine. Nothing screams summer more than a garden full of bright yellow flowers. It is one thing you'll really want to scratch off your summer bucket list, and we know the perfect spot to go. There is a massive 5-acre field of sunflowers near Calgary officially opening next month.
Paradise Hill Farms told Narcity you'd be able to see their 400,000 sunflowers all to yourself. So mark your calendar to see the golden blooms from Friday, August 14 to Sunday, August 30.
Just one hour from Calgary, close to Nanton, you can visit the stunning farm. Last year was their first time growing sunflowers, and it was a huge success.
Because of the popularity of the summertime blossoms, they've planted more seeds. In 2019 it was one and a half acres, but this summer, it will be so much larger.
This August, you'll be able to see over 5 acres of sunflowers. Unlike most flower gardens where there are groups or crowds, you can enjoy the sights all by yourself at this farm. To visit, you'll need to book a one-hour timeslot.
When you arrive, you can stop and smell the flowers, or take all the selfies you want.
As the growing conditions are conditional on Mother Nature, the exact dates might change slightly. The farm owners are hoping the blossoms will last longer so they can add extra booking days.
The price of visiting depends on when you go. The rate ranges from $50 from sunrise to noon, between $75 and $100 in the afternoon, and $150 from 7:00 p.m until dark.
Does this sound like a dream come true? Why not invite your BFF to join you for an hour, and the two of you can take turns taking photos of each other?
You won't find a more magical picture setting away from the crowds than this.
