This small mountain town in B.C. could have been plucked out of a Hallmark holiday movie, with a town square gazebo lit up under twinkle lights, a blanketing of fresh snow, and picturesque storefronts that add to the charm of the place.

It gives Stars Hallow a run for its money in terms of cozy factor but with the snowy peaks of the mountains surrounding it.

"Small town charm. Big mountain terrain," is what the Revelstoke website says, which sums up the adventurous vibe of this place.

It's actually a small city, but walking through the downtown area is the picture of cute small-town vibes with heritage buildings, cozy cafes, local shops, and yummy bakeries. You'll find cool boutiques and small businesses rather than big box stores here.

It's all with the backdrop of the mountains, which are the gateway to adventure. Summer means hiking and swimming, but winter is when the town turns extra dreamy and the exploring gets even more heart-pumping.

Revelstoke is known for its powder snow and mountain terrain that bring in skiers from everywhere. There's cat skiing, backcountry touring, snowshoeing and dog sledding here. You can head to Revelstoke Mountain Resort and enjoy a day on the slopes, before heading back into town at night.

You can catch a movie at the Roxy Theatre, a heritage cinema in town, go to a local trivia night, or grab a drink at one of the local pubs.

There's even a shuttle to the ski mountain that's $2 per ride so you don't have to worry about getting around.

If you want a dreamy winter getaway in B.C. with a good dash of adventure, this is the spot to go.
