Cue The Holiday soundtrack! You'll feel like you've stepped into a Christmas rom-com at this enchanting town that's just a road trip away from Toronto.

Skaneateles is a quaint lakeside village located in Upstate New York, about 4 hours from Toronto.

According to the website, the destination boasts "a vibrant downtown filled with unique shops and restaurants combine for a one-of-a-kind, relaxing experience."

The area is extra magical during the Christmas season, when it transforms into an old-world village with English vibes for the Dickens Christmas event.

Running on weekends through Christmas, the street theatre production features live entertainment, iconic characters, trunk shows, roasted chestnuts and more. You can wander through and 1840s-themed wonderland inspired by A Christmas Carol and soak up holiday cheer.

You can also enjoy holiday fairs, horse-drawn carriages and sing-alongs.

The historic downtown is a magical spot to get some holiday shopping done. You can explore cozy local boutiques such as Skaneateles Artisans, Chestnut Cottage, First National Gifts and more.

You'll also want to take a stroll along the water, where you can soak up gorgeous winter views.

If you're looking for somewhere to stay, the Mirbeau Inn & Spa Skaneateles is a luxurious spot where you can get pampered and enjoy some relaxation.

The Sherwood Inn is another dreamy spot for a stay.

With Christmas magic and holiday movie-worthy charm, Skaneateles is worth a road trip.
