Cineplex Is Letting Canadians Have Private Movie Nights At Theatres This Holiday Season

It all depends on COVID-19 restrictions in your area though.
Senior Writer

This new Cineplex private screening offer during the holiday season lets you book an entire theatre to watch movies by yourself or with a group of friends or family.

If you're a movie lover but don't want to sit in a theatre with people you don't know because of COVID-19, this might be perfect for you.

It was just announced that Cineplex is launching 'Private Movie Nights' to let Canadians catch flicks on the big screen while staying safe.

$125 starting price for groups of up to 20 people

While this is called 'Private Movie Nights', screenings can happen during the day or at night and you can reserve an entire auditorium for a group of up to 20 people starting at $125.

There are more than 1,000 movies to choose from that are available to watch during your private screening.

That includes holiday favourites like Love Actually and The Grinch along with new releases and all-time classic films.

If you want to catch flicks on the big screen by yourself or with loved ones, you can reserve an auditorium with Cineplex online.

However, this is only available if the COVID-19 rules in your area allow it.

Theatres are closed in Manitoba because the province is currently under lockdown and in Ontario, Peel is in the red zone which means cinemas aren't allowed to operate unless they're drive-ins.

Toronto is joining the region in that zone on November 14.
