Elton John Calls Out The Vatican Following Their Refusal To Bless Same-Sex Couples

On Monday, the Vatican issued a statement saying the Church is refusing to give blessings to same-sex unions because they "involve sexual activity outside of marriage" and "[God] cannot bless sin."

Soon after the release went public, legendary rockstar Elton John responded with a tweet to the Vatican, asking how they can do so after investing millions of dollars into Rocketman, the musician's biopic.

The initial million-dollar investment into the film back in 2019 came as a shock to many, as it features multiple explicit sex scenes and was even censored in some countries according to the National Catholic Register. 

The church says they are "rejecting all unjust discrimination" by saying "God loves every person and the Church does the same."
