Elton John Calls Out The Vatican Following Their Refusal To Bless Same-Sex Couples

On Monday, the Vatican issued a statement saying the Church is refusing to give blessings to same-sex unions because they "involve sexual activity outside of marriage" and "[God] cannot bless sin."

Soon after the release went public, legendary rockstar Elton John responded with a tweet to the Vatican, asking how they can do so after investing millions of dollars into Rocketman, the musician's biopic.

The initial million-dollar investment into the film back in 2019 came as a shock to many, as it features multiple explicit sex scenes and was even censored in some countries according to the National Catholic Register. 

The church says they are "rejecting all unjust discrimination" by saying "God loves every person and the Church does the same."

In Alberta, GraceLife Church has been closed after the province's health authority stepped in and shut it down because of months of not following COVID-19 restrictions.

On April 7, Alberta Health Services "physically closed" the church and has stopped access to the building until the place of worship can show it will comply with the rules in place.

Toronto Police Are Looking For Witnesses Of An Attempted Child Abduction On Friday

A man in a black ski mask tried to snatch a little girl at a school, police say.

A concerning encounter at an elementary school in Etobicoke has Toronto Police looking for witnesses to the event.

Police say a man attempted to abduct a young girl under the age of 10 at St. John Vianney Catholic School at midday on Friday, March 19, before putting her down again and fleeing the area.
