Vancouver Coastal Health has just announced that people looking for B.C. COVID-19 testing will be able to avoid the swab up the nose in some regions.

The new “saline gargle tests” are now available to adults in some urban and rural areas.

The areas include most of the Vancouver Coastal Health region like Squamish, Whistler, areas on the Sunshine Coast, Vancouver, and more.

Do not eat, drink, vape, smoke, brush your teeth or chew gum at least 1 hour before the test.

In the instructions but forth by the ministry of health, it appears that all you have to do is gargle the solution for a total of 30 seconds and spit it into a container.
