When it comes to bed bugs in Canada, some spots have apparently been hit much harder than others!

A new report from Canadian pest removal company Orkin has uncovered Canada’s top 25 bed bug cities in 2020 — and it seems one province was particularly affected.

According to Orkin’s data, Toronto came out on top as the buggiest city, shortly followed by Sudbury, Oshawa and Vancouver.

While cities like Winnipeg, St. John’s and Edmonton also made the top ten, the province of Ontario clearly dominated the leading 25.

In addition to Toronto, cities like Ottawa, Whitby, Etobicoke, Hamilton, Windsor, Mississauga, Brampton, North York and Scarborough made the list, among other Ontario spots.

On the other hand, Prince Edward Island had no bed bug cities and neither did Nunavut, Yukon or the Northwest Territories.

The top bed bug cities are ranked by the number of treatments the company performed in each area between January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2020.

“This ranking includes both residential and commercial treatments,” confirmed Orkin.
