Several people were reportedly spotted both inside and outside of the property and attendees were seen not wearing any face coverings.

Once police arrived on the scene, a 20-year-old Ontario man was charged for hosting the gathering, which exceeded the allowable limits.

An additional five men and two women, ages 18 to 20, were charged for attending the illegal indoor gathering.

Ontario's Reopening Act states that individuals caught hosting an illegal gathering can face some pretty harsh fines, which could even include jail time.

Police are asking anyone with suspicions that businesses or neighbours are not following COVID-19 protocol to call 519-661-4660.
