Don't forget to lock your doors. Toronto police are warning residents about a recent string of break-and-enters.

According to a press release,  the incidents involve an unknown suspect, who takes advantage of unlocked doors to enter homes. 

Police reported that some victims were at home during the crimes. However, they didn't realize what had happened until morning.

Some of the incidents in 13 Division and 53 Division have occurred while the occupants were home.

No one was harmed during the robberies, but property such as purses, wallets and clothing were reported missing.

Police are warning residents to "remain vigilant" and to lock their doors.

Anyone with further information is being asked to reach out to the police at 416-808-1300.

However, thefts appear to be common during the holiday season in Toronto.

Last month, TPS issued a service announcement about an increase in package theft in the city.
