Free is always the best price, and free Starbucks is certainly a treat!

On March 21, you can get a free beverage in Canada from the retailer which means it might be the perfect time to check out their new lavender drinks for spring.

Here's what you need to know to get in on the deal.

To get yourself a free drink on March 21, you need to be a Starbucks Rewards member. To do that, all you need to do is download the app and sign up.

From there, you'll be offered a buy one, get one free on March 21 that's redeemable from 12—6 p.m. local time.

"Starbucks Rewards members will find the BOGO offer in the Starbucks app, and they can apply it when ordering ahead in the Starbucks app, or by asking their barista to apply it at checkout when ordering in the store," says the company.

It's important to note that the BOGO only applies to handcrafted drinks and not ready-to-drink beverages like coffee. As well, the free drink can only be worth up to $10.

If you're looking to sip your way into spring, you might want to try one of the new lavender drinks that are available for a limited time — I tried out the Lavender Crème Frappuccino and the Lavender Oat Latte and they're delightfully floral.
