According to the City of Hamilton, a recent investigation discovered that at least seven vaccine doses were administered to ineligible people.

All of the individuals were later found to be related to a staff member.

The incident resulted in the employee, whose name has not been released, being fired by the City of Hamilton.

"The City remains committed to ensuring its vaccine clinics operate in a way that is fair, transparent, and in line with our approach to prioritize those most vulnerable to the disease," Dr. Elizabeth Richardson, Medical Officer of Health, said.
