To help them connect public health information with Canadians across the country, Health Canada is recruiting celebrities and online influencers.

The agency is looking to hire a company that will enlist influential people to share information on behalf of Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada.

The federal government intends to use these influencers for various public health campaigns, including sharing information about vaccines, according to CBC News.

While there are no specific influencers or celebrities lined up for the job, Health Canada says each individual will be “identified and vetted based on objectives and specific target audiences for the campaign."

During the COVID-19 pandemic, several high-profile Canadians have spoken up about health-related issues. This includes Ryan Reynolds, Seth Rogen and Michael Bublé, who previously joined Justin Trudeau in asking Canadians to stay at home.
