One of Canada’s most famous faces has shared an intimate insight into his life. In a new Instagram post, Justin Bieber opened up about life in Ontario before he was famous and admitted he’s changed since then. Going forward, he says he wants to be “motivated by truth and love.”

Justin Bieber has taken a break from selfies and cute photos with his wife to post a tell-all note on his social media.

Sharing the message on September 6, the 26-year-old spoke openly about his life pre-fame, and growing up in Ontario.

“I come from a small town in Stratford Ontario Canada,” the singer wrote.

He explained that back then, he didn’t have material things and was not motivated by fame or money. “I just loved music,” he added.

The singer went on to say that as he became a teenager, things started to change, and he let “insecurities and frustrations dictate what [he] put [his] value in.”

Wearing his heart on his sleeve, Bieber admitted that he continued to change, saying “I let ego and power takeover.”

This, he added, had a huge impact on his relationships in recent years.

“I truly desire healthy relationships,” he wrote, adding, “I want to be motivated by truth and love.”

Going forward, the Ontario-born singer described wanting to learn from his blind spots and “walk in the plans god has for me.”

This, he hopes, will help him be a good husband and even a future dad!

He ended the message by saying, “I’m grateful that I can walk with Jesus as he leads the way.”

While Bieber is no stranger to revealing intimate details about his life, this update is a strong indication of how the star may have been feeling recently.

The young celebrity has spoken about his old life in Canada before, and even once took his wife on a tour around his favourite hometown spots.

With Hailey by his side, here's hoping Justin can continue on his path of reflection.
