Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry were spotted sharing a meal at a Montreal restaurant last night — and let's just say we didn't have this on our 2025 bingo card.

Exclusive video obtained by Narcity shows the former Canadian prime minister and the pop star dining together at Le Violon on Monday night, sparking plenty of buzz about what exactly is going on between them.

The two were seen dining alone at the upscale Plateau restaurant — located just blocks away from Trudeau's old Papineau riding — enjoying cocktails and sharing several dishes, according to TMZ.

In the video, the pair seated at an intimate two-seater table, deep in conversation. Trudeau's face is clearly visible in the clip, and he looks deeply engaged in what Perry is saying.

Security was reportedly tight, with guards watching the scene discreetly from the bar via the restaurant's mirrored glass. The pair even got a visit from the chef and, according to TMZ, personally thanked the kitchen staff before heading out.

While there's no confirmation this was a romantic outing — TMZ makes it clear that it's "unclear whether this was a romantic date or just a friendly hang" — both Trudeau and Perry are recently single, which only adds fuel to the fire.

Perry confirmed her split from longtime fiancé Orlando Bloom last month, and Trudeau and his ex-wife Sophie Grégoire announced their separation back in 2023 after 18 years of marriage.

Perry, 40, is currently on tour, with a stop in Ottawa on Tuesday night and a show back in Montreal on Wednesday.

The 53-year-old Trudeau, meanwhile, has stepped back from politics after resigning as prime minister earlier this year, following a two-decade run in federal politics and three election wins.

Since stepping back from politics, Trudeau has fully embraced dad mode — his social media is now a steady stream of photos featuring hiking trips, ski days and selfies with his three kids.

Le Violon, where the dinner went down, is known for its modern French-inspired dishes and cool Plateau vibes — a far cry from your average political haunt. In fact, Canada's 100 Best recently named it the best new restaurant this year, and the 11th-best overall in the country.

According to the Michelin Guide, the restaurant offers everything from gourmet pan con tomate to beef cheek bordelaise with Robuchon-style potato purée. Très chic.

No word yet from either camp about the dinner — and until we hear otherwise, we'll just be over here wondering if this is the start of Canada's most unexpected celebrity friendship... or something more.
