Lotto Max winner bought a $1 million winning ticket while getting snacks for his kids
He plans to set some of the Maxmillions money aside for his kids!

Lotto Max winner Jack Puglas.
This new Lotto Max winner snagged $1 million with a ticket bought at a gas station convenience store.
He was getting snacks for his kids when he purchased the ticket, so part of the Maxmillions prize will go to them!
It was recently announced that Jack Puglas from Airdrie, which is just north of Calgary, won $1 million with Maxmillions in the Lotto Max draw on May 6, 2025.
He purchased the winning ticket from Circle K on 1 Ave NW in Airdrie.
The Lotto Max winning numbers for the Maxmillions were 10, 16, 18, 24, 35, 36 and 41.
Puglas was making coffee in the morning when he decided to scan his ticket with the Lotto Spot app, and he didn't believe that he had won.
"I scanned it a few times before I went to wake my fiancée up," he said.
His fiancée also scanned the ticket with her phone.
Then, they both went back to the Circle K convenience store to check it on the lottery machines and make sure it was real.
Puglas was the only Maxmillions winner in the Lotto Max draw on May 6.
He and his fiancée are "filled with emotions" because of the $1 million Lotto Max win.
"We purchased our first house just a month ago, and now we can pay it off and start on renovating it," he said.

"We'll also put some money away for our kids' school," Puglas explained.
"I bought the ticket while I was picking up Slurpees for my kids while they were at soccer practice, so they're part of this too."
He also noted that the kids have been better at keeping it quiet about the win than he and his fiancée.
With the money from this Lotto Max win, Puglas and his fiancée are planning to celebrate their relationship and get married.
"We've been engaged for 12 years, and now we can actually plan a wedding," he said. "We can set a date."
