Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez is urging residents to start changing their behavior regarding COVID-19.

In a press conference with health experts today, Gimenez stressed that unless the behavior within the county changes, the tools to combat the virus won't work.

Unless we change behavior, testing and contact tracing won't work.

The plea comes as the county continues to be the epicenter for Florida when it comes to COVID-19.

Most hospitals within Miami-Dade County are running at 90% capacity, which is considered full by hospital standards.

Gimenez said that another stay-at-home order isn't needed for now, but the option is still on the table if things get worse.
