Ontario Just Issued An Emergency Alert For A Missing 6-Year-Old Boy

An emergency alert has been issued in Ontario by Niagara Regional Police. A missing six-year-old boy is believed to have been abducted by his father, and now police are “concerned” for his welfare. The child is described as being a Black male, medium weight, with light brown hair and brown eyes.
On June 28, just before 1 p.m., an Amber Alert was issued across Ontario.
The alert explains that a child abduction has been reported by Niagara Regional Police, and a six-year-old boy is missing. The suspect is believed to be the child’s father, John Mitchell.
According to Niagara Regional Police, Mitchell is a 44-year-old Black male, who is approximately 5’7” with a large build and short hair.
The missing child, Dashaun Mitchell, is described as a 6-year-old Black male, of a medium weight, with light brown hair and brown eyes.
At this time, no clothing description is available for either person.
“Police are concerned for Dashaun’s welfare,” reads a tweet from Niagara Regional Police.

The father and son are believed to be travelling in a 2016 Mercedes SLK, which is gold in colour. The licence plate is currently unknown.
A photo of a similar vehicle was shared via the Niagara Regional Police Twitter page.
Officials report that their current location is unknown, however they were last seen in Hamilton, Ontario.
A news release from police explains that officers were contacted at around 9 a.m. on Sunday morning, regarding a “possible parental abduction.”
“Further investigation by officers with the 1 District Detective Office led to concerns regarding the welfare of the 6 year old child, leading to an Amber Alert,” the notice continued.
“If they are seen, call 911 immediately,” reads a tweet from police.
“Anyone with further information is asked to contact detectives at (905) 688-4111, dial option 2, Badge #9256.”
