Around 20,000 people attended a packed concert in New Zealand last weekend as the country enjoys its restriction-free summer.

The island country has gone weeks without any new COVID-19 infections — the last local case was recorded nearly two months ago, reports The Chronicle Herald.

Six60 headlined the concert, which was hosted in Waitangi, New Zealand.

Social distancing seemed to be a distant memory as thousands of people stood shoulder to shoulder without masks.

The sun was shining and people donned their best summer looks.

It looked like it was an event not to be missed.

Leaders in other countries have used the concert as an example of the success of strict lockdown measures.

The vibes seemed to be high and a reminder of better days to come.
